Is it normal for your blood pressure to be elevated (in excess of 140/85) while bulking up? I would like to gain some more weight, but everytime I bulk up, my blood pressure is always high and I have problems sleeping. Is there anyway to prevent high blood pressure while trying to “bulk up”?

People say one doesn’t go with the other, either you concentrate on weight training to bulk up fast, or concentrate on cv to burn the fat because too much cv can “eat up” precious hard gained muscle. But what if I 2hrs of cardio in the morning, eat less carbs, go to work, then go back to the gym to do high impact weight training, eating a high carb high protein meal? Will the muscle still not come?

I am 5ft 11 and weigh 150lbs and have some belly fat. I am looking to lose this body fat and gain a six pack, yet bulk up by putting on some weight. I currently go to the gym 3 times a week.

My friend (who is pretty ripped) told me that I need to take 300 gms (my weight * 2) of protein daily in order to bulk up. I am 5′8 and 150 lbs. I want to be around 160-165 lbs and I want to be able to lift more and basically build more muscle. I am already cut enough I just need to bulk up. My biceps are about 14 inches, I want them to be around 15-15.5

Anyway do I really need 300 gms of protein? If so, what is the best way to do so? Just eat like a pig? If so, what specifically should I be eating? I do take protein bars/drinks right now.
