I have searched answers.yahoo.com and came accross some issues regarding this. The solution people gave was to click on the “Not Spam” link on the e-mails received. This is not the solution I am looking for.

What if I use my SMTP server to send a message to another person? One that does not usually check their Bulk Folder? What then? My e-mail would be lost forever.

Is there any way around this? Thank you.
BTW, I am using Mercury/32 v4.5 as my SMTP Server.

I’ve been having this problem for a few days now. I use both Outlook and Thunderbird to access several Yahoo! Mail accounts, both personal and bizmail. The email clients receive errors from both POP3 and SMTP servers with authentication errors.

The password I’m using is, indeed, correct.

Trying to debug the situation, I noticed that when I login to Yahoo! mail via a browser, then the email clients (Outlook and Thunderbird) can access the mail servers. After a few minutes, they fail once again.

I’ve emptied the inboxes via the browser (because I saw somewhere that a ‘corruputed’ message may trigger this kind of thing.) The problem remains. Bulk mail is deleted upon receipt.

Any ideas?
The SMTP and POP3 servers are correct in the settings. Note, that once I authenticate with Yahoo! mail in a browser, the email clients all of a sudden are able to authenticate — without any settings being changed.

My Internet Service Provider (Cox Communications) does not allow the use of port 25 to send messages in bulk. Is there a free SMTP server that I can use instead?

I was asked by my bulk e-mailer for my ISP SMTP Server.

I have been trying for the last week to send emails from a certain email address, which is my business email address to my Yahoo address and the email won’t go through. Is it possible and for what reason would Yahoo block emails from coming through??
