Most of the
spam I get is from overseas. As I have virtually no use for overseas mail I’d like to block the IP addresses for the countries I’m receiving mail from. To do this I need a list of netblocks (i.e., blocks of IP addresses, e.g. 16.150.0.0/14) assigned to all countries and/or regions. Even if there aren’t, I can analyze my existing spam and choose key areas to block. Where can I get such a list?
(N.B. I am not looking for sites that allow you to look up individual IP addresses, such as whois. I am aware that whois will provide limited netblock information, e.g. an ISP’s netblock, but it is too limited for me. I want to banish Asia in one fell swoop. Ok, maybe a few fell swoops.)
P.S. If anyone knows of software that can analyze a bunch of spam and produce a map or report on which countries or networks are most implicated, that would be cool to know about.

Sometimes, its become necessiated to know the exact location of the sender of email message. Is there any way to know the location if not exactly at least Country, or any software (hope must be available) which may help to detect the location of email message sender. Sorry my English is not good, but I tried best to make my points clear.

I am adding a newsletter creation and email distribution service for my clients. Any advice on the software or service I should look into? I have heard about Topica and Constant Connection. Has anybody ever worked with these services?

Hello!
I would like to start a video blog, but I don’t know much about it. I would like to be able to create short videos and use some kind of service that sends an email to my mailing list telling recipients that a new video has been posted on my blog. Can someone tell me the easiest way to get started… and the easiest service(s) and editing software to use to achieve this goal? Recommendations on camera and microphone would be helpful. Also, if you know how to apply a white background to block out the original background, I would appreciate this info as well.
Thanks so much,
Eric

The list is just ascending lines of text.
i.e.
Business Name
Address
City, State Zip
Phone
Business Description
< space >
Business Name 2
Address
City, State Zip
Phone
Business Description
< space >
…
And I want to extract this data and automatically put it into an Excel file where each business is in a separate row.
Columns would be:
Business - Address - City - Phone - Description
I prefer that the software be free. I have MS Office 2003 and know Excel pretty well, but not well enough to do this.
(I can copy and paste the business address listings into Excel, but they are not formatted the way I want). I thought about using a macro, but wasn’t able to get this to work.
Thanks!!!

Sometimes when I try to send Emails, the program asks me to decode an image on screen. I do, then when I send it, if I send a copy to myself, it places the Email in my
bulk mail folder instead of my inbox. Why is it doing this, and how can I fix it? I’m not sure if the other people I’m sending the Email to are receiving the message in their inbox, and it’s friends and family (that I’ve exchanged Email with numerous times) that I’m Emailing.

“No delphinium to typewrite”
“My hanoi the pub”
“Violet friendship blogging Toyota parcel”
How on EARTH do spammers think subject lines like these are going to attract me (or anyone) into opening a piece of email? Even if we DIDN’T have spam filters now that dump garbage like this into our spam/bulk mail folders, would anyone actually read an email with such an inane, senseless title? It screams “spam!” from a mile away. *chuckle*
I guess I don’t understand why spammers use “random word generator” programs, or whatever they’re called, to come up with subject lines for the junk they send out. If they truly want me to read it, they should at least TRY to fool me into thinking it’s real and opening it, by using a REAL title! Don’t you think? I guess this just shows the desperate stupidity of spammers.
Definitely some of the ugliest parasites in today’s society.
