I have two Yahoo groups, both with the same settings, but emails received from each present differently. Both groups are set to receive “individual, traditional” emails. However, one group shows links underlined and in blue text, the older group only displays links as the URL and then the URL is duplicated and in parentheses. For example, _http://www.llccfoundation.org/f/9-20broc…
(http://www.llccfoundation.org/f/9-20broc…
It’s distracting. Also line feeds aren’t as reliably presented in this group, as paragraphs will sometimes run together.
Both groups are newsletters, sent to different yahoogroup subscribers originating as a text email from the same computer emailed at the same time via CC address to both yahoogroup addresses and received and viewed by the same computer, but the emails are displayed differently even when viewed on the same computer. So it’s not the email software or computer sending or reading the messages that’s at fault, when they’re one and the same.
Windows XP SP-2 OS and AOL 9.0; however, if you go to the yahoogroups website and log in to read the mail via its web-based interface, the same situation develops. One group’s emails look fine and the other group’s look a little jumbled with the duplicated URL and missing line feeds between paragraphs.
