The system keeps filing a genuine email sender as spam. I keep marking it as not spam but for each new message that person sends me it ends up in my spam folder. Is there a way I can “white list” the sender?

You should have a not spam button. Go into the bulk folder and there is a spam guard message. Click on the blue highlighed part and that takes you to the spam or not spam information.
